I found this article (http://melissaesplin.com/home/2010/03/t-shirt-refashion-jersey-necklace/) on Stumble Upon and fell in love with the concept!  I ran to Savers today after work, grabbed a yellow XXL tee shirt, and sat down for some quality time with a pair of scissors and some needle and thread.

The above is the result.  I’m not sold on the color (or my braiding skills for that matter), but I’m excited to pick up some more cheap tees and mix and match some colors.  And invest in a rotary cutter.  And a functional sewing machine.  I’ve gone plans, yes, I’ve got plans!

(And the whole thing only cost me the 1.50 for the shirt!)
